Cherie Giordmaine
Cherie is the creator and sole organiser of the Electric Barbarella clubnight in Bristol which has been running every month at Zed Alley since 2018, which is specifically focused on the alterative music of the 1980s especially New Romantic, Synthpop, Goth and Post Punk.
It has created a huge following and community and is also a safe space for members of the queer community.
Cherie has a deep knowledge of 80s culture and music which she first became obsessed with in 1998 when she was 14.
She greatly understands how 80s music, culture and politics affected the world then and how some elements are still relevant today
In 2022, she was specifically chosen to represent the 80s New Romantic movement as part of 20 other hand picked New Romantics, for the Time of Our Lives part of the Queens Platinum Jubillee celebrations, which were televised across the world.
She is very excited to be part of this event and discussing one of her biggest passions.
