What's the link between the climate crisis and Western imperialism? What's an adequate response to the issues faced by the communities at the sharp end of the climate emergency? What can we do to make a difference?
We're delighted to be joined by expert international speakers to examine how the legacy of colonialism, as well as ongoing neocolonial economic practices - such as free trade agreements and debt-trap diplomacy - have contributed to the acceleration of climate change and its devastating effects on communities around the world. We'll cover how countries in the Global North uses their power and influence to hinder progress on a global scale.
We'll discuss what responses are needed, the idea of reparations, and what we as individuals can do to stand with our comrades across the world.
