We Need Space

Meet activist, journalist and documentary maker Simon White for a screening of his film We Need Space. Covering land rights in England and, the Police Crime Sentencing and Courts bill which recently made its way through parliament, the film explores the impact of this legislation, and how it threatens the right to protest, freely assemble and the rights of travellers. It also focuses on the impact of the high speed rail line HS2 and the 2021 Bristol uprising.

After the film there will be space for a discussion with the director about how he made it and what he’s got planned for the future.
