Emancipation of Gender - The Art of Revolution

This month we look at the emancipation of gender: how art movements since the Russian Revolution have been used to promote gender equality and dismantling of patriarchy.

There will be a brief art history lecture starting at 2pm, folllowed by practical art. Feel free to drop in at any point to do some arts and crafts if you can't make the lecture!

Posters were vital in spreading support for the revolutions of the twentieth century. Cheap to mass produce, ephemeral, tied to time and place; many posters have had far-reaching, long-lasting impact. Join us to explore the art and symbolism employed by revolutionary movements through discussion and creation.

No experience, knowledge or artistic talent needed.

Basic materials provided, feel free to also bring your own.
