Depathologising Emotion
Fyfe Hall, Trinity Centre
Saturday, 17th May 10:00 – 11:10
Western psychological perspective frames emotion as apolitical and decontextualised. Capitalist imbued socialisation sustains oppressive structures by placing feeling as an individual endeavor, not a collective experience.
Join us for a panel discussion brushing on this history and creative workshops exploring Anger, Jealousy and Joy!
Format: The session will start with a ~25 minute panel discussion, after which the audience will break into three groups to discuss our own experiences of different emotions.
