Crisis in the Gender-Based Violence Sector

The gender-based violence sector is collapsing. Frontline services are closing and many workforces are facing redundancies. Yet, Solace Women's Aid recently won their industrial action to fight against redundancies of a third of their workforce. Notably, this was the first strike in the gender-based violence sector. In a sector traditionally un-unionised and precarious, what can we learn from success of their strike and what does this mean for the sector?
