Bristol’s Apartheid-Free Zone: 1 year on

At Bristol Transformed 2024, the BAFZ campaign launched: setting out to support Palestinian liberation by building a boycott of Israeli goods. One year later, almost 2000 local people have signed their pledge to boycott Israeli goods, and 60 shops have committed to do the same.

Back for this year's festival, BAFZ organisers will tell us about the campaign's successes; how a community campaign can overcome the helplessness so many of us feel; and their strategy for building a mass movement to defeat imperialism and free Palestine, from the river to the sea.

Format: Mostly speakers on stage, with some audience discussion in small groups.
